Our department is a community of scholars dedicated to developing transformational leaders, who excel in meeting the diverse educational needs of children and families in Missouri, our nation, and the world.
Through teaching, research, and service, the childhood education and family studies department is committed to be a model and resource for enhancing the quality of life and promoting the inherent rights of children and families.

The Elementary Education graduate program is designed for teachers who desire to develop additional knowledge and skills related to successful teaching in elementary schools, grades 1-6.
The Early Childhood and Family Development graduate program is designed for students who are already working or are interested in working with children and families, birth throughout the lifespan.
