The following is an excerpt from President Keiser’s
May 2001 Special Issue of Focus
Greenwood Lab
School study under way
“At my request, Dr. David Hough, dean of the College of
Education, is working with Dr. Bruno Schmidt, vice president for academic
affairs, to evaluate Greenwood Laboratory School. The purpose of this study is not
to close the school; that is not an option. Rather, the intent of the study is
to find realistic changes that can be implemented over time to strengthen the
school and its relationship to Missouri State, especially the College of Education.
The evaluation task force members include: Sen. Roseann
Bentley; former Board of Governors members Tom Strong, Joe Turner; current
Board member Barbara Burns; and Dr. Jim Baker. I hope this group will have a
report and recommendations sometime later this summer.”
