GLS Faculty Advisory Committee Meeting

Members present: Dr. David Hough, Dr. David Brown, Jennifer Cvitak, Vicki Dunlop, Trish Goddard, Janice Reynolds, D’Arcy Simmons, Mark Fisher

* Positive comments about our student body at the Greenwood vs Catholic basketball games.

* No official word on the tuition increase for Greenwood next fall.

* Encouraging feedback from parents and students on changes at Greenwood.

* Faculty are strongly encouraged to attend the strategic planning meeting on Feb. 26.

* Dr. Brown and Dr. Hough will be visiting lab schools in Louisiana on Feb. 25 & 26.

* The directors search committee will meet on Feb. 20.

* A group of faculty and parents have discussed a Media Literacy Program to help educate our

students and parents on how to be wise consumers in dealing with the mass media.

The topic has been covered in English, Speech, and Wellness classes.

* Discussion of the Greenwood Dress Code being developed by the Greenwood students, faculty,

and parents. The Student Council is developing a rough draft.

* Kindergarten screening will be held on March 6^th , 7^th & 8^th.

* Implementation of a primary center should be considered in the strategic planning.

* Cheerleading is going great and had a successful elementary clinic.

* Positive comments from the methods classes that have been at Greenwood.

* The Stockholders Annual Report to showcase Greenwood will be available by mid-summer.
