Dean’s Faculty Advisory Council

Brief discussion of teacher expectations. Should we continue with the policy of masters + 5, or allow for some without those credentials?

Updates of current searches. Applications had been received with meetings scheduled in the next few weeks to review them.

Update from Dr. Brown about visits to schools with Dean Hough. Led to discussion of dress code. There were many compliments of student council for their action involving the planning of a dress code for GLS.

Update from Janice Reynolds about NALS conference. Her update led to discussions about teacher requirements abroad, student dress, etc, and how they compared with the GLS policies and procedures. A more detailed account accompanied our meeting in April.
