Dr. Sue Georgeis a Professor in Early Childhood Education.  She has been a faculty member at Missouri State since 1992.  Dr. George teaches graduate courses in Early Childhood Education assessment.  Her research interests are in adult learning styles, working with young children with special needs and accreditation issues.

 Dr. Joanna Cemore is an Assistant Professor in Early Childhood Education.  She graduated from Florida State University and Iowa State University with a background in early childhood education, special education, and child and family development. She brings experience working with typically and atypically developing children from age 3 – 18 for more than 9 years in private and public settings. Her primary research interests include play, service-learning, and perceptions.  Dr. Cemore currently teaches undergaduate and graduate courses in early childhood education and child and family development.

Dr. Denise Cunningham is an Assistant Professor in Early Childhood Education. She graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  Her areas of specialization are early childhood education and reading.  Dr. Cunningham teaches methods courses dealing with content (e.g. literacy, communication arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.  Dr. Cunningham brings with her experience as a primary teacher and literacy coach in the St. Louis Public Schools.  Her research interests lie in early education opportunities for at-risk children, literacy development through play, and constructivist education for adult learners.
