Child and Family Development Program

The degree in Child and Family Development will prepare students for a variety of career options.  Graduates find employment in child care settings as teachers or administrators.  Additionally, career paths may take graduates to a variety of other areas such as community services and programs (homeless shelters, family violence centers, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Parent Educators, etc.), advocacy, government agencies (Division of Family Services, Child Care Licensing, etc.), training and education (training of professionals and paraprofessionals), and mental health and special needs populations (Child Development Specialists, Child Life Specialists, etc.).
