Program Requirements
To be considered for admission to the program, a student must apply to both the Master of Science in Student Affairs program and the Graduate College.
In addition to the Graduate College admission requirements, the Student Affairs program at Missouri State University requires the following:
1. A written "Statement of Purpose" (minimum of 300 words) containing long-term professional or personal goals, a statement regarding how this degree will contribute to the applicant's long-term goals, and an indication of what has been done to prepare for this profession;
2. Submission of three (3) "Applicant Reference Forms"; available under Application Information, or from the Department Office (417-836-5392);
3. Completion of the "Technology Skills Checklist"; available under Application Information, or from the Department Office; and
4. Access to the Internet and an active email address.

Other Information
Candidates who meet the Graduate College minimum will be placed in the pool from which the cohort will be selected. Prospective students' applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Earlier submission enhances an applicant's opportunities to obtain a graduate assistantship position. Credential review will continue until the available spaces are filled.
Applicants for whom English is a second language are required to submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum scores of 550 on the paper-based or a comparible score of 213 on the computer-based TOEFL are required for admission.
