Missouri State University was founded in 1905 and has enjoyed a rich tradition of educational excellence for over a century. The University's evolution has involved substantial growth as it is now a university with more than 19,000 students. A major focus of the University is its statewide mission in public affairs. Over the years a significant expansion in graduate programs and graduate education has taken place and currently 48 graduate programs are offered on campus. Missouri State University also has a branch campus in China which provides global opportunities for our students.

  • Missouri State University is the second largest university in Missouri with current enrollment for the Springfield campus exceeding 19,000 students
  • The average ACT score of entering freshmen is consistently above the state and national averages
