Missouri Legislative Internships Program

Missouri Legislative Internships Program (PDF)

Each Spring semester, the Missouri State University Career Center Legislative Internship Program sends several competitive undergraduate and graduate students of various majors to serve as full-time interns for Missouri state legislators in Jefferson City. There, the interns may research legislation, attend and record committee meetings, prepare correspondence, write press releases, and guide capitol tours. Participants remain classified as students in good standing. Missouri State University provides a substantial scholarship to cover living expenses and waives up to six hours of internship or Co-op class fees.

The active recruiting period for the Missouri Legislative Internship is between mid August to mid October each year. Students can learn more about the program and how to apply by visiting the MSU Career Center webpage.
