POLICY
The College of Education requires all students to register with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) starting with their first practicum course. The Educational Field Experiences office then runs a current background check through FCSR each semester a student is in a practicum consisting of 30 or less clock hours. Students must provide verification of their FCSR registration to the Educational Field Experiences office in Hill 203 before their first practicum experience.
PRACTICE
Students may check to see if they are already registered by going to the FCSR website at https://webapp02.dhss.mo.gov/bsees/ and clicking on the Registration tab and then Register. On the next page, click on the “Is a person already registered?” tab. Once on that page, enter your Social Security number twice and the Security Text on the screen. If the screen says your Social Security number was found in the database, please go to File, Select All, Copy, and Paste this page into a Word document. Save it and then promptly email it to jdreinert@missouristate.eduso we’ll know you are registered.

Already Registered Students: The Educational Field Experiences Office will automatically request a new FCSR Background Check prior to the beginning of each semester you are registered for a practicum experience. You can verify the semester for which your background check is valid by going to "My Missouri State" on the Missouri State website, clicking on the "Academics" tab and then viewing your "Test Scores" screen.
