Missouri State University Policy requires all education students to have a current negative TB skin test result or doctor’s written waiver (for special medical circumstances) during all practicum and student teaching experiences.
Students may choose to go to a personal physician for the TB skin test or to the Taylor Health Center on the MSU campus. In either case, the student must return to the location of the test two days later to have the test read.
Taylor Health Center administers TB skin tests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday by scheduling an appointment online or by phone 417-836-4000; the cost can be deferred to the student's MSU account.
If the TB skin test is administered through Taylor Health Center on the MSU campus, a secure message will be sent through the MyHealth portal. To obtain access to this message:
- Enter the URL myhealth.missouristate.edu, or click the button "Access MyHealth Portal" found on the Taylor Health and Wellness webpage
- Log in with BearPass Login and password
- Enter birthdate
- Select "Immunizations" link in maroon column on left
- Save the TB skin test result message in PDF format and submit to the Educational Field Experiences office
If the TB skin test is administered through any other clinic or health care provider, save the TB skin test result in PDF format and submit to the Educational Field Experiences office.
Procedure for Submitting Verification of Compliance
