Master of Science in Education in Special Education,
With an Emphasis in Developmentally Disabled
The Developmental Disability Graduate Emphasis within the Special Education Masters Program at Missouri State University is offered to provide Graduate Candidates with in depth knowledge and skills to effectively assess and implement research based programs for individuals requiring extensive and pervasive supports. This program may lead to initial certification in Severely Developmentally Disabled B-12. Further, students completing the Developmentally Disabled emphasis will meet requirements for the Missouri State Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate.
Requirements:
1) Admission to the Graduate Program in Special Education
2) Residency- Candidates completing the Developmental Disability Graduate Emphasis must complete a one semester residency (SPE 691, Clinical Practicum). It is anticipated that student’s must be on campus two days weekly for 12-16 weeks.
