The Missouri State University Special Education Program is actively pursuing multicultural practica experiences within the Hispanic community for our graduate and undergraduate majors. At this time, we are currently working to develop a local practicum experience that involves children who are designated as English Language Learners for all graduate and undergraduate majors. We are also pursuing a student Hispanic Immersion seminar in which graduate and undergraduate students would have the opportunity to travel to Mexico to work with children in the public school system. Individuals interested in these opportunities should contact
Dr. Tamara Arthaud, Special Education Undergraduate Program Coordinator, or
Ms. Judith Martinez, Coordinator of the College of Education Hispanic Initiative.
