Undergraduate Programs

The Curriculum for secondary teaching leads to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education and carries with it an initial professional certificate (PC1) to teach in the state of Missouri. Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is an accelerated program which allows students to obtain their teaching certificate AND a Master's Degree in the same program.  This program was designed to enable people considering a mid-life career change to pursue certification in an area of Secondary Education similar to their undergraduate degree program and/or work experience.  Since earning a Master's Degree is one way for teachers in Missouri to keep their teaching certificate, this program is very attractive to many students.  Go to the MAT Program Website for more information.
