Funding For New or Vacant Faculty and Staff Positions

After consultation with department faculty, the department head will submit requests in writing for filling a new or vacant faculty position to the dean’s office. Each request must address workload issues, credit hour production, class sizes, enrollment trends, number of majors, resources available or anticipated, and program plans. Each request will be presented to the Leadership Council, and the Leadership Council will rank order all requests and present the rank ordering to the dean.  The dean will make the final decision to fill the new or vacant position.
