Become involved in your future
From participating in research to belonging to student organizations, the department of childhood education and family services at Missouri State offers numerous opportunities for our students to learn beyond the classroom. Our faculty and the Education Advisement Center are committed to helping you develop a degree plan to reach your educational and career goals, while our student organizations and teaching and research opportunities provide you with firsthand experiences and professional development opportunities.
Perhaps the most important aspects of these involvement opportunities are the various kinds of hands-on experiences available through participation in research, internships and student teaching; volunteering in the community; and traveling to professional conferences. Course credits, scholarships and grants, as well as community partners who provide sites for our students to learn more about careers and other interests support these experiences.
