Opportunities to professionally grow

Our department encourages participation in student organizations to help you interact with peers, faculty members and professionals involved in counseling, leadership and special education. These opportunities allow you to connect with other students who are also interested in the same field as you, further your education through professional development and networking experiences, and volunteer with various community organizations. Upon completion of your program, the B.E.A.R.S. mentoring program provides on-going, site-based, job-embedded, systemic professional development and support for teachers in the first three years of their teaching careers.
