The ATLL Literacy Team provides support for teachers and administrators looking to
develop knowledge and understanding on the most effective practices for teaching students
to read at all levels, based on the Science of Reading. In addition, we offer specific
training on ways to support students with characteristics of Dyslexia.
We look to aid schools in implementing effective practices by offering:
Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) (Grades K-5)
Professional Development: Delivering high-quality, job-embedded professional learning aligned with the science
of reading and state literacy initiatives.
Instructional Coaching: Implementing coaching cycles with individual classroom teachers to support effective
reading instruction and student outcomes.
Data-Driven Instruction: Guiding building-level literacy coaches and educators in using student data to inform
instructional decisions, improve practice, and drive reading achievement.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Supporting the administration, analysis, and interpretation of state-mandated foundational
reading assessments; collaborating on Reading Success Plan goal setting and progress
tracking.
Leadership & Mentorship: Mentoring, building coaches, and supporting teachers in meeting their school’s comprehensive
literacy plan goals through aligned instructional strategies and targeted interventions.
