MTDS provides guidance for teachers and support for professional developers and trainers
designing professional learning for teachers. Some MTDS programming is currently being
offered through Missouri's RPDCs, who are continually working to expand MTDS aligned
opportunities to meet the needs of teachers at every career level.
MTDS Emerging Level I: Beginning Teacher Assistance Program A (BTAP) Cohort I
Ongoing, job-embedded, research-based support for new teachers throughout their first
year. Part of the SW Regional Teacher Development System, which offers supports for
the entire teaching career through the Agency for Teaching, Leading, and Learning.

Go beyond BTAP! Teachers never stop learning. This program is designed to meet the
needs of early career teachers and is open to any teacher with more than one year
of experience. The learning will be focused on curriculum and assessment design, and
learning how to use data to drive instruction.
MTDS Mastering: Foundations of Coaching and Mentoring
Give your teacher leaders the training they need to grow as an educator as they become

MTDS Developing Level I: Teacher Academy
Teacher academy participants obtain skills in curriculum design, using data to drive
instruction, the effective use of instructional strategies, and increasing student
