- August 1 if you're student teaching in the following spring semester.

Total program hours = 120
Students must complete one content area of specialization (language arts, mathematics,
science or social sciences) consisting of 24 credit hours. You must have a 3.00 GPA
in your content area to student teach and become certified.
Check Admission to Teacher Education Requirements for your program.
When requirements are met, the Educator Preparation Provider Committee (EPPC) will evaluate your credentials for admission into the teacher education program.
There is no application to be completed.
Must have a 3.0 content (major) GPA and 3.0 Professional Education GPA for certification
recommendation.
