Are you interested in teaching but need certification to do so? Perhaps you want to develop your expertise in special education to help children with special needs learn and grow. We offer several graduate programs that will put you on the path to becoming a teacher.

Master of Arts in Teaching
Gain a master’s degree and a teacher certification at the same time. Areas of certification range from art to Earth science to French to speech and theater and more (there are 24 certification areas). The coursework is all online, while student teaching will take place in a K-12 classroom.

Enhancing skills to teach students with vision challenges
In 2021, Kelsey Bink and Anne Chambers, Missouri State graduate students in the special education blindness and low vision emphasis, participated in the Teachers of Tomorrow program by the National Federation of the Blind. They got an opportunity to better understand the lived experiences of blind people.
