The EDHH option offers an in-depth curriculum to best prepare you for a career as a deaf educator.

Why choose the education of the deaf and hard of hearing (EDHH) option?

  • Earn your degree and Missouri DESE deaf and hard of hearing teaching certification in two years.
  • Eligible students can receive Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) scholarship funding for up to 50% off tuition and fees.

DESE Scholorship funding: Increasing deaf educators across Missouri

  • Eligibility includes the following critieria:
    • Pursuing a master's degree in special education, education of the deaf and hard of hearing option.
    • Pursuing initial Mo-DESE deaf and hard of hearing teacher certification.
    • Signing an agreement to teach in Missouri for the next three years following program completion.
  • Scholorship availability: based on annual DESE budget and funding renewal.
