The Master of Science in Education, Educational Administration K-12 Principal program requires 36 hours. For full certification, you must have a valid K-12 teaching certificate, depending on your emphasis area, and also three years of teaching experience in K-12 education.

Becoming an K-12 school principal

If you choose to complete the K-12 education option, you should acquire the necessary competencies to gain initial certification to serve as an K-12 principal in Missouri schools. A research component will be required, and the degree emphasis is on the practical aspects of K-12 principalship.
