Summer 2021 Events

  • Summer Visit Day: Friday, June 25 and Friday, July 23
    • High school students and parents are invited from around the area to visit MSU's campus and to meet department representatives and faculty about our program. Attendees will enjoy refreshments at PSU while visiting with campus representatives.

Fall 2021 Events

  • Homecoming: Saturday, October 16
    • The theme for homecoming this year is "Welcome Home." On Saturday, COE will be providing the food and student organizations will be manning tables with fun activities for kids. COE will provide a tent for your comfort. It's lots of fun and we'll need help with serving and greeting, so plan to come!
  • Fall Showcase: Saturday, October 30 and Saturday, November 13
    • High school students and parents are invited from around Missouri and surrounding states to come for campus tours and opportunities to meet department representatives and faculty about our programs. Attendees are also invited to the afternoon football game (if available). Various Academic Halls are open from 12:00 - 1:00pm for parents and students to view facilities.
  • Majors Fair: Thursday, September 23, 9:00 - 3:00pm, PSU Ballroom
    • Your Major options at the Major's Fair! GEP101 instructors require students to attend this event. It is very busy with lots of questions and interest in education programs.
  • Springfield Public Schools College and Career Fair: TBD
    • This event will be open to all SPS students as well as surrounding Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas areas. Last year there were approximately 1500 students and parents in attendance. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our programs

Spring 2022 Events

  • Admitted Student Mondays: TBD, various Mondays in March and April
    • High school students and parents are invited from around Missouri and surrounding states to come for campus tours and opportunities to meet department representatives and faculty about our programs. COE invites you to visit the newly renovated Hill Hall.
  • Spring Showcase: TBD, Saturday, April 30
    • High school students and parents are invited from around Missouri and surrounding states to come for campus tours and opportunities to meet department representatives and faculty about our programs. Attendees are also invited to the afternoon football game (if available). Various Academic Halls are open from 12:00 - 1:00pm for parents and students to view facilities.
  • Presidential Scholarship Interview Day: TDB, January
    • The Presidential Scholarship Interview Day is among the most important recruitment events we conduct each year and our matriculation rate for students (even those not offered the scholarship) is very high (67% or higher). Thirty-five Presidential Scholarships are offered to highly qualified students. To make this event successful, we are counting on help from faculty and staff within our COE.
  • Transfer VIP Days: Friday, February 25
    • Prospective appointments will be schedule with majors of interest.
