Dr. Tammi R. Davis

Biography

Dr. Tammi R. Davis is an assistant professor of elementary education. She taught over 20 years in elementary school and middle schools in Indiana and Florida.  She continues to develop school partnerships with aspiring teachers she works with and local schools. She completed her doctorate in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education with a minor in Teacher Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2014. Her research and teaching are intertwined with a focus on improving undergraduate teacher preparation, understanding and celebrating the lives of teachers and promoting culturally responsive pedagogies in both of these areas.
