Scholarship Information
The One-room Schoolhouse Scholarship
Established during the University's centennial year, the One-room Schoolhouse Scholarship recognizes the University's professional education mission from its first years of preparing teachers for one-room schools to preparing teachers, counselors, and other education professionals today. Award of the scholarship will be rotated annually so that a student from each department in the College of Education receives the scholarship. Announcement of the recipient of the scholarship will be made at the one-room schoolhouse erected on campus during the centennial.
Students must be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 hours each semester if undergraduate, 6 hours if graduate.
The Scholarship will be endowed so that it may be awarded every year in perpetuity.
